Amy J. Brown, CMD®
Vice President, Property Management
Ms. Brown joined DPI as Vice President Property Management in December 2020 and directs the property management department. Ms. Brown has worked in the shopping center industry for 30 years in both field and corporate positions for property management and marketing. She has extensive experience in construction, renovations, tenant relations, vendor management, budgeting, strategic marketing, event management and public relations.
Prior to DPI, Ms. Brown held corporate positions as Regional Property Manager at NewMark Merrill Companies in Woodland Hills, CA, Director Retail Marketing at Forest City Enterprises in Cleveland, OH and Director, Corporate Marketing at Crown American in Johnstown, PA. Ms. Brown opened The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos in Corona, CA in 2006 and has experience managing lifestyle centers, strip centers/big box centers, enclosed malls, parking garages/surface lots and unique properties such as 8000 Sunset in West Hollywood and The Dome Entertainment Center in Hollywood.
Ms. Brown has her CA real estate salesman license and holds the ICSC Certified Shopping Center Marketing (CMD) designation. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Brown has volunteered for numerous non-profit organizations and has worked with many different organizations to assist them with raising money during her career.
Marian K. Jackson, CPM®
Senior Property Manager
Ms. Jackson joined the team of DPI Retail at the end of August 2020. She is responsible for all aspects of property management for five of DPI’s Northern and Southern California properties, including managing operations to achieve optimum performance with contracted third-party vendors, fostering and maintaining positive tenant relations, resolving tenant issues, negotiating leases, preparing annual operating and capital budgets, annual CAM reconciliations and financial reporting.
Prior to joining DPI, Ms. Jackson has held positions of Executive/Senior Property Manager, brings over 15+ years of commercial real estate experience managing complex, diverse urban and suburban real estate retail shopping centers and office building portfolios, (~1.5MIL sf), throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, valued between $5M to $50M, on behalf of institutional real estate investment companies, REITS, bank trust departments, non-profit corporations and court-appointed receivers.
Ms. Jackson holds a B.S. Degree from St. Louis University, as well as, the distinguished Certified Property Manager CPM® designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). She has recently reactivated her membership with the IREM Greater Los Angeles Chapter No. 6. Ms. Jackson is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
Senior Property Manager
Mr. Kim joined DPI in June 2021 and handles comprehensive property management for six DPI properties in the Southern California region including managing capital improvements, building credible tenant relationships, overseeing lease renewals and proactive general maintenance.
Prior to joining DPI, Mr. Kim held Property Manager positions for multiple management firms and brings with him over 8+ years of property management experience across a diverse, variegated portfolio including commercial office, retail, and multi-family unit properties.
Mr. Kim holds a B.S. in Business Administrations from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Mr. Kim is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and is currently pursuing a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Stephen Aguayo, MBA, MCM
Senior Property Manager
Mr. Aguayo joined DPI in June 2021 and handles all aspects of property management for DPI’s Northern California and Utah properties, including overseeing tenant and capital improvements, implementing lease renewals, and managing general maintenance.
Prior to joining DPI, Mr. Aguayo was the Regional Senior Property Manager responsible for the management of over two million square feet of commercial properties in all asset classes, including Class A office, medical office, business park, industrial, and retail. He has worked directly with private and institutional clients, managing, or providing management supervision in all key aspects of a portfolio, including budgeting, business plan maintenance, financial reporting, leasing, construction management, tenant improvements, and tenant relations.
Mr. Aguayo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Business Administration, concentration in Real Estate Management from Marylhurst University, as well as a Master of Communication Management from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Alvarado joined DPI in June 2021 and is responsible for managing three properties In the Southern California region spreading from Long Beach to El Cajon. Mr. Alvarado’s responsibilities include maintaining tenant relations, overseeing all maintenance and capital improvements on site, reviewing lease renewals, and financial reporting.
Prior to joining DPI, Mr. Alvarado began his career in Property Management working for illi Commercial Real Estate managing a portfolio of 24 properties close to a million square of retail, commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed-use properties as third party management.
Mr. Alvarado graduated from California State University, Northridge with a B.A. in Psychology and is currently studying to obtain a Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Mr. Alvarado is a licensed California Real Estate Salesperson.
Assistant Property Manager
Eleana Cornejo joined DPI in October 2020 as a temporary employee and quickly became an integral part of the property management team. She was permanently hired in early 2021 and is currently an Assistant Property Manager managing two properties and assisting with other southern California properties.
Ms. Cornejo studied forensics in North Carolina. She was first introduced to commercial property management in 2018 when assigned as a Coordinator with Newmark Knight Frank. Ms. Cornejo continued to grow her experience with Colliers in the Bay area, before ultimately returning to her hometown. In her spare time, she enjoys caring after all pets, traveling, and being on the water during Southern California’s quintessential summers!
